Micronised diatomaceous earth

Ultra-fine mineral powder that dries out insects and strengthens plants with silica.

What it's for: Fossilised algae rich in silica (70% SiO₂), sun-dried with no chemical treatment. Strongly desiccant to insects and, as a silica source, improves root colonisation and nitrogen and phosphorus fixation.

Best for: Crawling insects, aphids, ants. Also as a mineral boost through the watering.

When to apply: At the first sign of insects, and preventively in the hot, dry season.

How often: Every 20 days.

Dose: Spray at 20 g/l.

How to apply: Spray covering the whole leaf. Can also be applied through the watering.

Worth knowing: Works physically (desiccation), not chemically — it stops working once wet, so reapply after rain. Not selective: apply at the end of the day to protect pollinators.
