Attaining good quality seeds requires care throughout the whole production cycle, from field to storage. After harvest, there still are many steps to take before good, clean and dry seeds are obtained. The steps the seeds go through after the harvest are the following: seed extraction, drying, cleaning, sorting, packing and storing.
For all these steps LSSV has specialised equipment, to make the process as efficient and effective as possible. Our processing hall has a wet extraction area, for crops such as tomatoes, pumpkins and melons, and a dry extraction area for crops such as basil, beans and brassicas.
Once the seeds are cleaned and sorted, they are packed and stored in a storage room with conditioned moisture and temperature. We are proud to perform this rigorous post-harvest work with the right knowledge, care and attention to ensure optimum quality seeds.
