The ORGANIC FARMING collection is a series of theoretical and practical manuals on this agronomic approach, aiming to contribute to the growth of organic farming in Portugal, in both quantity and quality, and to a more sustainable agriculture as a socio-environmental solution for the future in today's global context.

About the book
This is the second book in the collection: a manual of good practice for protecting plants effectively against pests and diseases without harming nature or human health. In organic farming, this protection is possible without synthetic chemical pesticides, provided that priority is given to biological control, genetically more resistant varieties (but not GMOs) and functional biodiversity.
